I was searching around for something fun, when I remember an old commercial from back in the early 2000's. I couldn't remember the product (turns out to be EDS) but I did remember the great scenes of rugged blokes chasing cats. I found it and want to share it, in hopes that you find it fun too!

I suspect that most readers are familiar with expressions built around the phrase herding cats:

The phrase herding cats comes from the common saying that something involving coordination of many different groups or people is as difficult as herding cats. One of the commonly encountered uses of the term in technical fields is the phrase "Managing programmers is like herding cats" or "Managing engineers is like herding cats". In education it would be "Managing students is like herding cats". In reality, it would be "Managing cats is like herding cats." It refers to the individualism common in the stereotypical examples of programmers and domesticated cats. A similar phrase, allegedly of Irish origins, is "Minding mice at a crossroads".

Needless to say, it used to be used all the time when I was young. That's why I find this video so funny. It takes an otherwise silly phrase and brings it to life in exactly the way you'd expect.

Direct from the MSDN Blogs:
Consola font!
If you’re a developer, there’s an easy way to give your eyes a rest and make yourself more productive. Use the Consolas font Microsoft developed specifically for you.
When we began work on a project to create a new set of fonts which would take maximum advantage of ClearType, we decided to develop a fixed-pitch font for developers - because no one ever thought of their needs, and we realized a highly-readable fixed-width font would make their lives a lot easier.
We call them the C* fonts because their names all begin with C (for ClearType), and we spent a lot of research and development time making them as readable as possible.
You can install Consolas on your Windows system even if you don’t have Vista or Office 2007 with a free download from Microsoft.com.

It's No Pants Day. On the first Friday of May each year, thousands of people celebrate a little-known holiday called No Pants Day. Logically, they celebrate this holiday by not wearing any pants. While some clever people note that you could celebrate by wearing a dress, skirt, kilt or other pants alternative, traditionalists will argue that such clothing is not in keeping with the spirit of the day
