SURPRISE!!! Same time as last year! I'm gone for two weeks. No posts no music. Oh MY! If you are desperate for a music fix check out Doctor Mooney's blog. He's always good for a few interesting tunes and info.
Until then, see you in APRIL when the winter might finally be over.
Skip at 7:00 AM Another share of one of my MP3s. I set up a new one once a week and give you seven days to check it out. After that it will be gone and replaced by a new selection. Please don't link to this. Just click on the link and save it. Until I can make some money and buy some, if you get the message BANDWIDTH exceeded, just try again tomorrow. For this week:
It's St. Patrick's Day so I had to find an Irish group. The Cranberries fit the bill just right. Here is a single called "Ode To My Family" released in 1995 from an album called "No Need To Argue". Also it's on the "Best OF" album called "Stars 1992-2002". Hope you enjoy this one and.......... Have a great March 17th Skip at 7:00 AM This is an example of how much we can learn from other species. CNN.com: “A dolphin swam up to two distressed whales that appeared headed for death in a beach stranding in New Zealand and guided them to safety, witnesses said Wednesday. The actions of the bottlenose dolphin — named Moko by residents who said it spends much of its time swimming playfully with humans at the beach — amazed would-be rescuers and an expert who said they were evidence of the species’ friendly nature. The two pygmy sperm whales, a mother and her calf, were found stranded on Mahia Beach, about 500 kilometers (300 miles) northeast of the capital of Wellington, on Monday morning, said Conservation Department worker Malcolm Smith. Rescuers worked for more than one hour to get the whales back into the water, only to see them strand themselves four times on a sandbar slightly out to sea. It looked likely the whales would have to be euthanized to prevent them suffering a prolonged death, Smith said. ‘They kept getting disorientated and stranding again,’ said Smith, who was among the rescuers. ‘They obviously couldn’t find their way back past (the sandbar) to the sea.’ Along came Moko, who approached the whales and led them 200 meters (yards) along the beach and through a channel out to the open sea.” Skip at 7:00 AM Something interesting to check out is a USB Device Tracker! You basically install the service on your mp3 players, usb drives, etc., and it will track it when it is connected to another person's computer. So, if you lose it, you can find its location, print out a report, and give it to the local authorities. I haven't tried it but this sounds like a nice service program and its also free for up to three devices. Skip at 7:00 AM Another share of one of my MP3s. In January British Sea Power released a new album (their third) called "Do you Like Rock Music". I'm sharing the first single released from that album called "Waving Flags". An interesting mix for a rock tribute. They are another great indie rock band, this time from Brighton England. Check out their MySpace page and enjoy this share. Skip at 7:00 AM This has been around the web but I thought it was worth a post here for some Friday Fun. Check out this very clever BIRD! Have a chuckle and enjoy the weekend. Skip at 7:00 AM FILE TYPES MAN is an alternative to the 'File Types' tab in the 'Folder Options' of Windows. It displays the list of all file extensions and types registered on your computer. For each file type, the following information is displayed: Type Name, Description, MIME Type, Perceived Type, Flags, Browser Flags, and more. FileTypesMan also allows you to easily edit the properties and flags of each file type, as well as it allows you to add, edit, and remove actions in a file type all for free. Go There and check it out. Skip at 7:00 AM Another share of one of my MP3s. I set up a new one once a week and give you seven days to check it out. It's been a tough winter and I needed something lively to perk me up. I've gone back to the underappreciated "Costello Music" album from last year and picked out this great tune to get things going. The Fratellis came out with this fine little album last year called "Costello Music". I've decided to share another one of the tunes from it called "Flathead". They are a great indie rock band from Glasgow, Scotland. Check out their MySpace page and enjoy this share. Skip at 7:00 AM |
