It's difficult for me to pin down precisely why I enjoy John Waters movies so much. If I had to pick one of the main selling points for me, I'd have to say it's the incredible dialogue you'll hear.

I just finished an article in the Smithsonian on "sound bites", a specific turn of phrase which, for whatever reason, is catchy enough to become immortal (Leo Durocher's "Nice guys finish last" or Julius Caesar's "Veni, vidi, vici", for example). John Waters movies are filled from beginning to end with sound bite dialogue that, whether you like it or not, you'll never forget.
