About John Waters

John Waters (famously dubbed "The Prince of Puke" and "The Pope of Trash", the latter by William S. Burroughs) is an American filmmaker whose unique satirical comedies are a mélange of filth and fashion, grime and glamour.

His most notorious movie is Pink Flamingos, which details the rivalry between two Baltimore crime families for the title of "Filthiest People Alive".

Beneath the filth and beyond the notoriety, though, there's an intelligent and perceptive social satirist at work. Read on!
