As suspected, Tamiya did decide to release the 2000 RGV500 after releasing the 1999 RGV500. Luckily for us, Tamiya has learned that a re-box with new decals is not wise thing to do. Like the NSR500 Nastro Azzurro, the Telefonica MoviStar includes new parts to address differences between the years. After looking at a picture of the kit sprues, this kit includes new:
  • Rear cowling
  • Fuel tank
  • Front fender
  • Frame
  • Forks
  • Brake discs
  • Wheels
  • And other miscellaneous parts

Tamiya also have a special paint, TS-51 'Telefonica Blue', for the unique body colour. Decals also include the No. 1 decal which, was shown in the parade lap at the Brazilian GP.

As soon as I get my hands on the kit, I'll complete the 'Kit Contents' sidebar.
