Precision Piecing:
Learn how to simply and accurately piece traditional blocks. We will cover log cabins, triple rail fence, 9-patch, paper piecing and many more. This 8 week class is an excellent foundation for any beginner quilter.

Mystery Quilt:
A fun way to make new fabulous quilts. Every month you come to Ruti's for the new clue. After 4-6 clues, you will have a quilt top. One group has already started and is full, but we will be starting new groups. Come to Ruti's join a group.

Advanced Precision Piecing:
This is for graduates of precision piecing who want to expand their skills. We will cover folded fabric, repliqué, machine cathedral windows, storm at sea, fast turn, machine Trapunto, etc.
Cost: $120 for 8 classes.
Everything for Baby:

Machine Quilting:
Now that you have completed the precision-pieced sampler quilt, this class will teach you the basics of machine quilting.

Quilt-in-a-Day:
Need a quilt in a hurry for a special present (or for yourself)? We have lots of examples of quilts that can be pieced in one day. Sign up and use my machine - and get help as you go.

Technique on Demand:
This class is for people who are curious to learn a new technique or can't remember how to finish the quilt they started. Your choice of technique!
Cost: $30 for a two-hour class.

Prefer to sew your quilt on my machine? You are welcome - just phone ahead to make sure I have a vacant machine.
Cost: $15 for 2 hours.
Scenic Quilt:
Paint fabric, do free motion appliqués, add yarn and make a scene. Lots of fun. Come see the samples.

We now have all the supplies to make yourself a funky modern purse. We have beads, handles, palettes etc. in the store.
Cost: $30 for a one-day class. Fabric and supplies extra.
Placemats:
The fastest and simplest gift you can make. With designer fabric they look spectacular. We use peltex in the placemats so they look professional, not floppy, not puffy, but they are MACHINE WASHABLE. Come see the samples, and register for a free class if you need instruction.
Cathedral Windows by Machine:
A fascinating way to make this usually hand technique using folded fabric. The book is by Shelley Swanland.
Fabric Painting:
With the purchase of paints, I will teach you how to make your own unique fabric. It is fun and easy, and you will have exactly the fabric needed for your project.
Flying Geese in a Hurry:
Flying geese and half square triangles are always difficult to get perfect. With the new rulers, these blocks become simple. With the purchase of the ruler and book I will start you on a quilt design of your choice.
Serendipity Quilts:
Sara Nephew has ways of expanding Kaleidoscope quilts. She uses stack’n’wack and a ruler to make exciting quilts. We will make a placemat using the techniques in this book. The class is free with the purchase of the ruler and book.
Any two-hour class below can be taken in two one-hour sessions if you prefer.
Hand Knitting:
Come for a 2 hour class to learn beginner hand knitting. I will teach you casting on, knitting and purling - become an expert! This is a private class, so you will learn much faster than with a group, and need fewer lessons.
Cost: $30, materials extra.
Crochet:
This 2 hour private class will teach you all you need to crochet. You will learn all the basic stitches and how to read a pattern.
Cost: $30, materials extra.
Finishing:
Finishing is the most important part of knitting the garment. Learn all the tricks for a professional look!
Cost: $30 for a 2 hour class.
Designing Knitwear:
This is a course for those who want the freedom of buying the yarn you love and knowing what to do with it. You will knit and design 4 projects with me, and 4 on your own. This class will teach you to understand different yarns, draft patterns, learn about fit, etc. We will start with a bag, and end with a sweater.
Cost: $100 for the course, in 12 monthly sessions.
Young Knitters' Club:
This club is for children from 8 to 16 who want to learn to knit.
Each week we will come together and knit a project.
Cost: $60/month (4 weeks) for 1½ hours each week.
Young Quilters' Club:
Make a quilt!! We will make a puss-in-the-corner quilt. Ages 8-16.
Cost: $60 for 4 classes, 1½ hours each. Materials extra.
Learn Your Knitting Machine:
Bought a knitting machine and can’t use it?? Bring it to RUTI’s to learn how.
Cost: $30 for 2 hours.
Knit a Sweater on Your Machine at RUTI's:
This class is a great way to become comfortable with your knitting machine.
Cost: $100 for as many classes as you need complete the garment.
Free Classes:
Any purchaser of a knitting machine at RUTI’s gets 5 free classes. Any additional classes for that machine will be at a reduced rate of $20 a class.
Serging Classes
Know Your Serger:
This class is free with the purchase of a serger at RUTI’s. If you purchase your serger elsewhere, it is $30. I will teach you how to thread your machine, do flatlocks, rolled hems, blind hems and other techniques.
Sewing Classes

This class is free with the purchase of a sewing machine at RUTI’s. If you purchase your machine elsewhere, it is $30. I will teach you all the tricks your machine will do.
Exercise Pants:
We all need them (for exercising or relaxing) and Ruti's is offering a class to learn to make your own. A very fast sewing project.
Cost: $70 including material and pattern - a great deal!
