| Here are two seemingly conflicting points of view, both of which can be said of most people. Well, I could spend all day arguing that, but instead, I'll talk about what really counts. Sure, I'll admit that when it comes to art, I've probably got a bit more talent than most people. This may sound like I'm bragging but if you read on, you'll realize I'm only stating the truth. And what is that truth? I may have been born with a gift, but it took years and years of hard work to get to where I am now. You don't learn how to write a novel, how to play the piano, how to build a good website ;-) or how to draw in a few days, or all at once. The most common question I've been asked since grade school is 'Where did you learn to draw so good?' Where? That question has always really annoyed me, implying that I 'went' somewhere, took a course and walked away an artist. In fact, I'm still learning new things every day ( such as working with computers to create graphics ) and just like a muscle, my work is getting stronger the harder I sweat away. What it comes down to is this; Art is 5% inspiration and 95% perspiration. Any artist who thinks otherwise isn't living up to their potential.
