Tony Kenny <tkenny@mnsi.net> London, Ont Canada - Friday, April 16, 1999 at 20:15:34 (EDT) I've watched a few of the old T.V. episodes a while back. *yawn* But recently, my father dropped a copy of THE KILLING MAN in my lap, and I loved it! But my used bookstore doesn't have any Mike Hammer books! Where can I get 'em? (Oh, yeah. Korn sucks royally... Long live Janis Joplin!!! Yes, I know she's dead.) The Scarlet Troubador <Ardal_of_Corrain@hotmail.com> Muncie, IN USA - Wednesday, April 14, 1999 at 19:50:54 (EDT) I LIKE MIKE HAMMER. I LIKE TO READ HIS BOOKS. KORN IS BETTER. Jamie Cote USA - Wednesday, April 14, 1999 at 13:38:16 (EDT) Nobody cares about Mike Hammer. He's a stupid detective for cryin' out loud. I'm only doin' him for school because you have this stupid website and its the only information I can get on this stupid loser. I hope you die becuase your webpage sucks. Peace out friend. Jamie Cote Jamie Cote Dacula, GA USA - Wednesday, April 14, 1999 at 13:36:30 (EDT) We don't get to hear anything at all about Spillane down here, a visit to our bookstores generally turns the latest blockbuster or some diet book. The few items I have read pertaining to him are rather derogatory to his work, I don't think that he receives the recognition entitled to him. Within his genre he is a genius, and even out of it his imagery is beyond compare. I guess that the distance between our countries, both physically and culturally, add a romance to the novels that may not be evident closer to home. I could rave on for hours, suffice to say I think that the guy is a champion. I would like to get some movie posters or other Spillane memorabilia, even an address that I could write to, so if anyone out there can help out, please email me. thanks Graham graham <gcastle@waikato.ac.nz> NEW ZEALAND - Tuesday, April 13, 1999 at 23:21:57 (EDT) This is a wonderful homage to a pair of American originals, Mickey Spillane and Mike Hammer. I had not checked in on your web site for some months and I was pleasantly surprised by how much work you had done to upgrade it. I was wondering if there are any plans on anyone ever releasing on video any of the old Darren McGavin (sp) television episodes? I watched those faithfully, much to the chagrin of my mother, back in the fifties. I have no idea as to whether they have held up well over the years, but I do know that the series made me want to go out and read all of the Mike Hammer books. Keep up the good work. Doc John D. York <pairofdocs@aol.com> McAllen, TX USA - Tuesday, April 13, 1999 at 21:58:57 (EDT) Wonderful site!!! I'm a big Mike Hammer fan--Nobody nails 'em like Hammer! I collect first edition Hammer novels. If you have any, please contact me. Thank you! -Kory Kory Wein <kwein@execpc.com> WI USA - Sunday, April 11, 1999 at 00:33:05 (EDT) This is a great site! I've been looking for a complete listing of the Mike Hammer books for a while now. Keep up the good work! Jack Razumich <jackrazz@hotmail.com> Indianapolis, IN USA - Saturday, April 03, 1999 at 19:29:41 (EST) I grew up reading Mike Hammer books and being constantly told to "throw that trash out." I kept 'em all. Thanks, Mickey, for the laughs, the action and the adventure. I hope you and Mike are slugging back Pabsts and chasing dames until you're 110. David Kolb <TOTCTWOLF@AOL.com> Grand Haven, MI USA - Saturday, March 27, 1999 at 17:19:36 (EST) please help me, where on tv can a fan see mike hammer episodes? I can't find any down here. the new ones were on a while then taken off. What happened. Even on A&E station I don't see them any more, . PS, your site is really cool and I 'll recommend it carl <rodr88@hotmail.com> forest city, nc USA - Monday, March 22, 1999 at 19:55:47 (EST) My first Mike Hammer book was The Girl Hunters. I was hooked, and have bought and read all of M.S.'s books. I'd never known a guy so tough who told us his thoughts, and made us realize that the toughest of tough guys could have mixed, complex, and confused feelings, yet in the end be able to recognize what really mattered, what was right and just, and then act on it. I kept The Girl Hunters next to Milton's Samson Agonistes, on my bookshelf. Greg <gregoryg@lava.net> Kailua, HI USA - Friday, March 12, 1999 at 02:50:02 (EST) You've got a great web site. Sure wish it wasn't so hard to find copies of Mickey's novels. Then again it is a joy to be searching through a second hand shop and suddenly come across one of his masterpieces. Have you any idea when the new TV series will be shown here in Australia? Well must go, my beer needs company. Derek Gillespie <derekg@turboweb.net.au> Port Macquarie, Australia - Thursday, March 11, 1999 at 05:24:43 (EST) Mike Hammer -- Man qua Man. Kevin M. Brancato <kmb37@columbia.edu> New York, NY USA - Saturday, March 06, 1999 at 18:43:01 (EST) Great site.............couldn't believe I could find Mickey Spillane page so easily.....He's the MAN. "she walked toward me.......her hips waveing a fond hello"..............Love the guy.........he's one of, if not my all time favorite character. I've seen TV interviews......he is a regular guy.......an earthperson..........honest, unasuming, with convictions. Does he write a column anywhere? too bad he doesn't have a column in the New York Post. Found a rental of his movie (represented to be the only one by the merchant) at a dusty little vidio store in Nyack, NY. Has any old and/or obscure movie. I'll be back to this site often. Definitely will put a hyperlink to this page on my website: wconyers.com. It needs work, and a good page builder, but I got a basic index page up with lots of annimated gifs. Would love to make annimated MS gifs. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks alot for your site and thanks for caring about Mickey. He'll be gone before we know it....and this site, along with his books, interviews and whatever other documetation will be his history and legacy. May the great bear spirit bless us, bless Wolf Nation and bless the web. "so long, doll...., keep your chin up" will Will Conyers <wco1544@wconyers.com> Englewood, NJ USA - Monday, March 01, 1999 at 00:49:43 (EST) People have been asking me "if I've written any good books lately", longer than I've known who the other Mickey Spillane was. Living about 75 miles from him now, I finally had a chance to meet him about 10 years ago. It was right after hurricane Hugo destroyed his home and he was as down to earth a guy as you might imagine. A real class act, I'm proud to share a name with him. I happened to have a copy of his new book at the time and got a nice note in the jacket and some once in a lifetime photos. Michael (Mickey) Spillane Charleston, SC USA - Saturday, February 27, 1999 at 18:57:48 (EST) i love your books tiger mann most of all i have read all your books many times over and i will always compare all others to you michael coombes <tmann99@ncx.com> jessup, pa USA - Thursday, February 25, 1999 at 23:38:00 (EST) Absolutely brillant site. What makes it such is that you completely understand the things that make people love Mickey's work. Many thanks for taking the time and effort to put this whole thing together. Will Slater <hs95wjs@brunel.ac.uk> UK - Thursday, February 25, 1999 at 10:16:03 (EST) Someone asked if Mickey was aware of your website. The answer is yes he is. I showed him a printout of your entire webside and Max Collins also shared this information with him. You seem to be doing a great job of stating facts vs the usual media-hype associated with some of the other "Unofficial" websites. Keep it classy and stick to the facts, and you will continue to have a website to be proud of! Vickie <Minxx3244@aol.com> SC USA - Sunday, February 14, 1999 at 18:31:59 (EST) I was really surprised to find such a detailed site on Mickey Spillane and Mike Hammer. Ulf Salvin SWEDEN - Thursday, January 21, 1999 at 18:06:12 (EST) I teach middle school gifted students, and I needed background information about Mike Hammer for a unit I am teaching about detectives and investigators (real and fictional), and their styles. Your work has made my work enjoyable, and "It was easy." Larry Scofield <SuperSoda1@aol.com> Blue Springs, MO USA - Monday, January 18, 1999 at 16:47:27 (EST) I am a writer. I have already published three novels and a book of short stories. I have recently discovered that one of the most powerful sources of my inspiration was the reading of the spillane books back in 1964 when I was fourteen. I certainly did not know until recently the deep influence they had on me. Thank you for this great site. Excuse my english.
