Silver mimosa (Acacia baileyana)

Catalog #116 - This extremely attractive evergreen with silver-grey leaves is one of the few species of Acacia that make a desirable and maintainable indoor plant. It is mainly grown for its leaves, which though individually tiny, combine to give the appearance of dense foliage. An excellent plant for pruning purposes as it tends to over-shadow its stem. The fern-like leaves create thick clusters of small round bright yellow, and fragrantly scented flowers. A warm winter temperature of 50F (10 C) is desired if you want your plant to flower. This process usually happens in spring, though the warmer the temperature the sooner your plant will reach its maturity.
