Catalog #113 - Also known as the sensitive plant, this species is pretty and delicate-looking. A curious perennial known for the ability of it's leaves to "go to sleep" at the slightest touch. The flowers resemble little purple puffs. Mimosae species like warmth (70F, 21C) and are easily adaptable for indoor use. They like a nice sunny spot, but should be shaded from direct noonday sun. Water freely so that compost is kept moist and mist the leaves regularly to provide humidity. |
