Mahogany tree (sweetinia mahogany)
Catalog #61 - A majestic looking tree with lustrous dark red tones that has long been a favourite wood of commerce. The oldest surviving building built in mahogany, the Cathedral at Santo Domingo in the
Dominican Republic dates back to 1550, and the flower is its national emblem. Glossy jade green leaves make it a novel miniature housplant. When in bloom, small white flowers give way to showy fruit capsules.
