Golden goddess (tabebuia chrysantha)

Masses of yellow flowers crowd its canopy. Resisitant to insects and decay, it is used as timberwood in construction. It is part of a familiy of trees (tabebuia) also known for their medicinal uses. The leaves are used in a tea form for the treatment of cancer and candida. Better known herbally by the Brazilian name paod'arco, it is a very majestic ornamental and helpful tree of the tropics, which makes a great bonsai for indoor use.
