R.A.N.D.
- An abbreviation that stands for Rapid Anti-terrorist National Defence, an organization
that was created by an Order-in-Council passed by the Federal Government of Canada in
May of 1996. This group of elite law enforcement officers was formed in reaction to the growing
terrorist threat to democracy across Canada, and in Ontario in particular.
