Rumours from Toronto for Late October
Police raids on suspected Colombian cartel members within Toronto continued today, after almost a week of calm. At least 15 are dead after a series of pinpoint attacks against drug dealers in the downtown core, as well as several suppliers located in Scarborough.
A warehouse fire near harbourfront has claimed at least nine lives. Police sources have revealed that the blaze is considered to be arson, and that at least some of the dead had been shot prior to the setting of the fire.
Municipal elections are to be held November 13th. A record number of candidates have declared against Mel Lastman, including Grant Bohr, a popular councilor. Mel Lastman, however, holds a commanding 50 point lead.
Eighteen police officers have been arrested and charged with corruption offences. No further details were released by police.
Gangrel-Ventrue forces continue to close in on Tremere holdings in London, England. Harpies are reporting that it is considered only a matter of time before the Chantry itself falls.
