Unrest In Jordan
The Kingdom of Jordan has been hit with yet another wave of political protest over relations with the United States.  The riots coincide with a wave of Islamic fervor sweeping across the Middle East.  Muslim Brotherhood parties within the Jordanian parliament continue to call for the establishment of an Islamic regime, but stressed their loyalty to the King.  The Prime Minister is expected to declare a State of Emergency shortly to deal with the situation.  Against expectations, the King himself, a Western trained moderate, has stayed out of the debate so far.  An American State Department spokesman expressed concern that the King had not chosen to distance him from the protesters.

Concerns about Kuwait
In related news, the last American base in the Middle East has been under virtual siege for the past several months.  The Kuwaiti government seems unable or unwilling to assist their American allies.  Since the former Emir's tragic death from a sudden heart attack, local Islamic groups have been able to press the new Emir for concessions regarding the Americans and the establishment of an Islamic theocracy.  The Kuwaiti government's response has surprised many observers, who had felt that Kuwait was solidly Western and behind their American ally.

Chicago Bombing
46 people are dead, and over 200 are injured following a suicide bomb attack in a crowded shopping mall in Chicago.  The attack, believed to be the work of Islamic terrorists, is the 19th attack on American soil in the last four months.  As in several other attacks, the bombers seem to have smuggled themselves across the Canadian border.  Several Senators blamed lax Canadian border controls, and threatened "stern action".

Museum Break In
The Royal Ontario Museum was broken into two weeks ago. The robbery was interrupted by Professor Barnaki, of the University of Toronto history department, and an unnamed companion. Police refused to comment about any items stolen, except to say that the matter was being investigated.

Jays Number One!
The Toronto Blue Jays continue to enjoy increased ticket sales, and remain in first place in the American League.

Prominent Ventrue Killed
Hans Doberman, Ventrue whip of Hamburg, was killed last week by unknown assailants. Doberman, a known ally of Clan Tremere and a one-time mediator in the ongoing feud in London, England, will be sorely missed.

Camarilla Victory!
Saul, Gangrel Justicar, presided over the establishment of the Camarilla Domain of Tel Aviv.  The Justicar with the help of Clan Assamite retook the city, long held by the Sabbat.
