Rumours from Toronto for Late June

Montreal Falls to the Sabbat
Yesterday evening the city of Montreal fell to the Sabbat. At the onset it looked like a sure victory for the Camarilla as the forces of the Brujah Justicar rallied for the battle, however several of them quickly seemed to loose all will to fight and wandered away aimlessly. There is little sign of actual physical confrontation with the exception of what is being called a minor earthquake centered in one of the industrial districts. Camarilla intelligence reports that this is the last standing point of the Brujah Justicar and three of his Archons. The remains of the Archons have been found but there is no sign of the Brujah Justicar. Camarilla troops have withdrawn to Ottawa.

War in Washington
Over the last two weeks the fighting in Washington DC has escalated into full-scale war. The Elders of the Camarilla have stated that unlike many North American cities, Washington has always been a military Domain and there is no fear that it will fall to the Sabbat. "We will be victorious."

San Francisco Boarders Closed
Vanavir Thomas, Prince of San Francisco, has closed his Domain to all travel, stating that Anarchs who wish to claim sanctuary within may do so, provided they stay in one of the Eastern Suburbs and do not enter the city proper.

War Council
North American Princes are welcoming Europe's dictate of a War Council and are fully prepared to cooperate with such a body. However, there are rumblings that many of them are starting to feel very threatened by this suggestion, but just aren't willing to admit it.

A Justicar's Displeasure
Lord Justicar Pale De'ath has made an offer to the Tremere Clan to hold a Conclave on the issue of the Bloodhunt of the Regency of Toronto. The Tremere and the current Tremere Regent declined, stating that resources were better directed elsewhere and they did not believe that the matter was worth wasting his time over. That same night the Lord Justicar publicly expressed his displeasure at the death of his friend Meredith James, saying that the tragedy and the events surrounding it would not soon be forgotten.

Europe Unimpressed
The Kindred of Europe are not overly impressed with the new Prince of Toronto; it seems that his reputation leaves a little to be desired.

New York's Problems
The entirety of New York City has had nothing but problems over the past few weeks. It seems that its infrastructure is falling apart. With the Mayor of New York currently hospitalized for heart problems, it is looking like a long haul for the Big Apple.

California Violence
Los Angeles and Sacramento have both seen a large increase in Gang Violence over the past few weeks. In fact the only major California City that hasn't seems to be San Francisco.

Border Bonfires
Border Guards in the Niagara Region have been filing reports of late of large bonfires being observed directly across the border in Rochester, Buffalo, Niagara Falls and Detroit. There has also been a higher then average number of firearms seized at the border.

Canadian Government Unhappy
There have been rumblings in the past few weeks that the Canadian Government is unhappy with the way the U.S. has been handling their end of NAFTA and there is discussion on whether they will be making more formal complaints
