The Camarilla braced itself yesterday evening for the possiblity of war. The Ventrue of Manhattan passed their deadline to safely leave the island by this morning at sunrise. Malcolm Devereaux, the Prince of Manhattan, made but a single comment on the matter: "Let the Games Begin."
New York City received a record-breaking rainfall today with Manhattan Island receiving the worst of it. The sewage system overflowed and residents were advised not to drink water from the tap. Massive power outages on the island halted business activity. One of the main tunnels off the island suffered structural damage from runoff and was forced to close. Traffic in the city is still gridlocked as residents try to get home.
Alberto Grimaldi, renowned financial wizard, was struck down in front of his Wall Street office. A FedEx delivery truck took a corner to quickly and slid into Mr. Grimaldi, who was pronounced dead on the scene. Police are satisfied that it was an accident.
Several Gangrel have noted that the number of Sabbat packs in the area surrounding Buffalo has increased substantially in the last few days. Reports indicate that most of the packs are Tzimisce lead.
Washington DC is still experiencing minor skirmishes between the Camarilla and the Sabbat, but full-fledged war has yet to erupt. Most of the Anarchs in the area have chosen to relocate to California.
Vanavir Thomas, Prince of San Francisco, has been watching recent events very carefully and has put his people on alert because of the growing Anarch population. He appears unconcerned about a possible Sabbat threat to his rule.
Many of the Elders of Europe are referring to the Primogen Council of Toronto as small children who need a spanking. It appears that they feel that their Prince should be babysitting them.
The Patrician Elders of Europe are currently holding council to plan a response to what is occurring in North America. The Brujah are expressing their anger to all of the Patrician Clans for not sharing the information that they possessed on this matter at an earlier date. The Gangrel are prepared to fight and the Malkavians seem to not really care. The Nosferatu have no comment.
"From the Ground Up", an Arts Festival showing off the artistic community of Toronto, concluded this past weekend. The City is being recognized worldwide for its artistic achievement. Toreador from around the world have been in attendance and the parties have been wild.
Many of the survivors of last month's brutal restaurant shootings have disappeared. Families say they appear to have packed up and left without a trace. Only two appear to still be around. Reporters have been unable to get comments from them.
Patrick O'Shea of Clan Ventrue is no longer found to hold the respect of the Camarilla. It seems he is unable to control his fowl temper and show his betters the respect they deserve.
Last night, a statue carved by Alixander Wheelwright-Rook, whose exhibit had arrived in New York three days ago, was destroyed at a gallery in Soho. It was smashed to pieces by what are assumed to be sledge hammers. The staff are dumbfounded, and at a loss to explain it. The statue was the centerpiece of the exhibit.
