The Brujah Clan is very split over matters within the city of Toronto. Some say that Prince MacArran has done what was needed in blood hunting Kamen of Clan Gangrel, a decree that has been supported in Waterloo, Oshawa, and Peterborough. Other members of the Clan say that the issue will not be completely resolved until similar punishment is dealt to Alec Vert of Clan Tremere. Still others claim that Connal MacArran himself is the problem and that Toronto needs its first Brujah Prince.
The Nakatomi board of directors announced Monday morning that Richard Wyler would no longer be acting as Chairman of the Board for the corporation. R.C.M.P. officials announced that police now wants the former CEO of Nakatomi, Richard Wyler. It appears that Mr. Wyler has left the country in an effort to avoid charges. His wife Sarah Chevalier is not implicated but police are searching for her whereabouts. In addition to these problems, there are rumours in the business community that Nakatomi will have to declare bankruptcy as a result of large-scale embezzlement and government fines.
Police have warned residents of the city to stay in at night. Violence on the streets has escalated to an almost war-like state, specifically in Little Italy where several high ranking organized crime figures were shot down in the streets. In addition, people have been advised to avoid travelling along Yonge Street at night. There have been over 40 arrests in the last two nights as members of rival crime families shot at each other in the streets. The first shots seem to have originated from the very tightly organized Jamaican Posse. Over 50 innocent bystanders have been wounded, and 8 killed.
Don Alphonso Corleone, a prominent member of one of Toronto's biggest organized crime families, was found dead in his home. Some police officers say it is the grizzliest murder they have seen in their careers. Don Corleone was found with all of the blood drained out of his body and the word "UNDERSTAND" carved into his chest. Police believe this to be part of the same conflict currently raging in the city streets.
Both Roy Thompson Hall and the Anja James Memorial Theatre were the targets of an Arsonist late last week. The fire at the Anja James Memorial Theatre was put out almost immediately, doing only a few thousand dollars worth of damage. The fire at Roy Thompson Hall was not extinguished quite so quickly and damages are estimated at about one hundred thousand dollars. Miranda Hanover, the new director of Roy Thompson Hall, has assured the public that a private donor has agreed to cover all the costs of renovations, which will be completed immediately.
