Rumours from Toronto for Early May

To Honour a Prince. Eileen Woodward of Clan Ventrue, Childe of Chelsea, Former Prince of Toronto announced at a Salon in Europe that she would be holding a party, in Toronto on May 17th, 1998, to honour her sire and all of the Princes of her sire's Domain that have died with honour defending it. Her statement was deemed to be quite controversial because she then proceeded to claim that those she would be honouring would include: Chelsea, Eloise, Roland, Alex South, Janen Kayne, Robert the Kent, Shamus Kleo, Isabella Munroe, Thomas Spelling and Charles Madison. Several of these individuals have been found guilty of crimes against the Camarilla since their death. Consequently many of the harpies of Europe have questioned whether she is deserving of their "Respect" and found that she is not.

European Opinion. Many Toreador from Europe are very disappointed that they are unable to attend a party being thrown by Christian of Clan Ventrue. Upon hearing that he was having such a party, Christian's Sire, a European Prince seemed overjoyed and mumbled something about a sure thing.

Setite Ultimatum. The Followers of Set have issued an ultimatum to Connal MacArran, Prince of Toronto, that he has refused to comply with. Snakes are flocking from all around to prepare for war.

Suburb Getting Worse. Police report that there has been a steady increase in crime in the Scarborough area in the last few weeks. Despite this, the number of arrests has been significantly fewer. One officer states that it may still get worse as the criminals continue to get smarter.

Moral Petition. The Coalition for Public Morality run by Amanda Fitzgiven has stated its intention to reorganize and apply to be recognized as a political party within the province of Ontario. Currently the organization only has members in the Greater Toronto Area but they hope to expand in the near future. The Coalition is criticized by many minority groups as being to close to the Religious Right.
