The following story was seen on the front page of the New York Times: "TOMORROW SERIAL SLAYER STRIKES AGAIN! Another Opera Diva has been found dead, this time in Washington D.C. This brings the total to twelve murders, scattered throughout the United States..." The article briefly mentions that their tongues were found nailed to the wall, and that sheet music was found at the scene of every crime. As an added point of note - one not found in the newspapers - all members of a bloodline known as the Daughters of Cacophony have vanished within New York State.

Weekly World News reports "Ghostly Titanic Sails Into Lake Ontario - Experts Tell All Inside!"

Tragedy strikes a local family with the death of a six-year old girl. Rumours have surfaced that the girl was tortured before being shot to death, as the corpse has no tongue. Police are withholding further details. However witnesses report that the two suspects involved were 'Inhuman Monsters'.
