Rumours from Toronto for March 1996

The City of Toronto seems calmer these days. It is as if a switch as been flicked on and normality has resumed it's rightful place. Unusual weather has stopped and the incidence of strange phenomena seem to be a thing of the past. It is hoped that with the coming spring the economy and the mood of the city will itself be reborn.

Animal activist may be to blame. There was a break in at one of the Mary Kay cosmetics research labs in late February. The police arrived at the scene late in the evening in response to an alarm call to find that many animals had been released from their cages. A strange after effect of the break in was that the white lab rabbits attacked one of the research scientists doing him serious injury. The rabbits are now thought to have possibly been drugged by the person or person connected with the earlier break in. The rabbits in question have had to be put down.

Calair, darling of Clan Tremere is not well liked by the mages. Apparently the mage of the "Eaton's Centre" is so irritated by Calair that he has set up wards against Calair surrounding the Eaton's Centre. Guess Calair won't have the opportunity to improve his..uh...interesting wardrobes.

David St. Joan of Clan Tremere, limp wristed fiend and man about town apparently spent a very intimate evening with Madeleine of Clan Toreador. All David had to say the next evening was, well some things should remain private. Anyone desiring copies of the video tape should see Thel Quixton.

Rumour has it that certain high profile Nosferatu are keeping all information about the blood disease under wraps. It is suspected that it is because the disease is running rampant amongst the Nosferatu Clan.

The 50 foot apple outside of Trenton has disappeared Reports are that a gentleman with an accent took it away for repairs because it was leaking juice. Do you know were your Malkavs are?

Hunters are rife in Toronto these days and kindred casualties are high. Tina Marcionni was killed by hunters this week. Also missing are Silas of Tremere and Brian O'Sulivan of Ventrue. These deaths should serve as a warning for the kindred of Toronto. Do not underestimate their power. It is believed that the hunters posses several fragments of the True Cross. Its power is such that it can hurl a kindred across a room and inflict damage by sight alone.

Several fragments of the Book of Nod have surfaced in Toronto. It is believed that they posses a magical property that allows the owner to nullify the effects of True Faith.

Although it is widely known that the Nosferatu control the lower city, it is said that there is another level that is below it. Whom controls it? Perhaps our Prince doesn't have as much control as he'd like to think.

The Brujah Prince of Waterloo had a party thrown in his honour by certain Toreadors. The party was summed up in the words of a visiting Elder, "Darling, I'm ready to leave now." I guess slumming has finally gone out of style.
