Darian Campbell, Sheriff of Toronto is dead. The events leading to his rather messy demise are to some part unknown What is know is that he was seen fighting with duly appointed members of Prince Echo's security staff sent to fetch Darian Campbell to the Prince's presence. He is said to have fought and killed several of Elysium security before he made his escape by jumping out of a hole in the CN Tower. Darian was last seen falling prey to a large hail of gunfire from a Police ETF unit sent in response to supposed terrorist activity at the CN Tower. The whereabouts of his body at this time is unknown. Some reports suggest that certain individuals were helping Darian Campbell in direct conflict with the Prince's wishes. Prince Echo has yet to comment.
Toronto is looking for a new Police Chief. The Police Services Board has been meeting in closed emergency sessions to quickly appoint a successor to the recently murdered Chief. A short list of people are being considered for this role in the hope that a strong leader will help curb the violent crime that has been rocking the city in the past few months.
A terrorist tried to take a plane at Toronto Island Airport. The police were called in on Thursday December 7th to a report of a known terrorist and hitman chartering a plane at the Toronto Island. In trying to apprehend the suspect, a police car was used to ram the plane that the suspect was trying to escape in. The results of the collision and following gun battle produced a fuel explosion that damaged a large part of the runway and airport. The Toronto Island Airport is expected to be out of service for at least one month. The operations of the police were under the direction of an unknown government agent who disappeared with the suspect after the fires were put out. The RCMP and Toronto Anti-Terrorist Task Force are unable to identify this agent, though several photos were printed of him at the scene in local papers.
The mood of the city has taken a serious downturn this month. Clubs, restaurants, and stores are reporting record losses as people stay away in droves. The upcoming Christmas season has done nothing to improve the sombre mood of the city and nothing but a dark and depressing winter is to be seen for the near future.
Buffalo has started a curfew. The National Guard has been called in to patrol the city at night with orders to arrest anyone who is not providing essential city services. This is in response to an increase in violent crime in that city that makes the problems of Toronto seem to pale in comparison.
