This night's gathering was held January 19th in the year of our Lord 1999, in a large Victorian-era home off the south side of Kingston Road, in the area of Toronto known as the Beaches.
This night saw a certain amount of tension in the air, as a Ventrue visitor to the city, one Muriel Weatherby, reported that Daniel, her travelling companion, had been killed by the Sabbat soon after they arrived in Toronto. And those who braved the snow to come to this gather feared an all-out attack by the sect.
There was also tension caused by a disagreement within the Camarilla itself. Several months ago, a Nosferatu who was still under Aphroditie's Accounting had assisted an Anarch, who Prince MacArran had also ordered destroyed, in escaping the city. MacArran had in turn ordered the Nosferatu destroyed, but his Clan had helped their own escape the city, rather than destroy him, unbeknownst to the Prince.
But now the renegade Nosferatu was back. The Prince ordered Aphroditie to destroy her childe, but the Clan refused to allow this. This enraged the Prince, who told Aphroditie to deal with the situation or he would deal with both of them. For a while, the situation was at a stalemate, with Aphroditie caught in the center, but in the end, the childe was stolen and taken from the city, and it is unknown if Aphrodite was behind this act or not. However, she did retain her seat on the Primogen Council, but the Prince indicated that this was purely on the value he placed in Aphrodite as an individual and that Clan Nosferatu had much to do to redeem themselves.
And in another development concerning the Nosferatu, a recent arrival in the city, and a member of the Clan, known only as Melissa, was charged by the Prince with sedition and thus breach of hospitality, and banished from the city. It is said that she tried to blackmail the Prince with information she had picked up from a member of the Sabbat in the city of Detroit. Melissa claimed that the Prince had sold out Laurelei MacIntyre to the Sabbat in exchange for stolen documents. While it was true that MacArran bought information from the Lasombra Marguerite LeBlanc, the price was information leading to the whereabouts of a rogue Sabbat pack she had been hunting.
And in other developments, Wheelwright-Rook, the Harpy, returned status traits to both Suzy Taylor and Aphrodite that were removed the previous Elysium, and then immediately removed a trait from Aphrodite for her behaviour this night. And Templar of Clan Brujah was placed back into the Accounting of his Clan. He had been seen walking arm in arm with Achmed the Setite at a previous Elysium, and so was placed back under Accounting so that his Clan so that they might determine if he was under the Setite's influence.
