The Primogen Council

Elysium was held February 4th in the year of our Lord 1997, in the Anja James Memorial Theatre. The building had been designed by Ophelia Vale of Clan Toreador, a former Seneschal. In the Lobby was an exquisite statue of Tabitha Wheelwright, the deceased Primogen of Clan Toreador, sculpted by Alixander Wheelwright-Rook of Clan Toreador. Several of his Clan-mates couldn't keep their eyes off of it.

The Primogen Council had changed since the last Elysium. Because of the Primogen Council's perceived incompetence in the eyes of the Prince during an incident at the previous Elysium, there had been several changes.

This evening, Locian Layfay went over the edge. His childe visited Elysium this night, and as soon as Locian laid eyes upon him, he frenzied. Accusing his childe of diablerizing Angela Giovanni, he used the power unique to the Samedi to wither both of the childe's legs. And then he got nasty. Fortunately, he was restrained in time to prevent the death of his childer, but it entailed staking him.

Prince Isabella was most upset with him. Locian had assisted Angela Giovanni in her attempt to blood bond Isabella to her back in December, an act which had resulted in Locian being removed from the position of Sheriff and blood bonded to the Prince. But this most recent incident was the last straw. Isabella turned the staked Locian over to the Tremere for long term storage.

Dieter Halsten, The Seneschal of Toronto, and Ibrahim, both of Clan Tremere, proceeded to remove Locian in one of three unmarked vans parked in the back of Elysium. They were under strict orders that the Samedi was not to be destroyed, but several people did not trust the Tremere to follow this directive. It had recently become common knowledge that Locian possessed Thaumaturgy, a discipline that the Tremere attempted to keep to themselves. While attempting to leave the area, the van containing the staked Locian was surrounded by Anarchs. When the Tremere attempted to drive the van away, it was physical restrained. Then the rear doors were ripped off, and Dieter responded with a hail of flame bolts. A standoff ensued, which was finally resolved with the participants' returning to Elysium to inquire of the Prince what her ultimate intentions for the body were. The body was brought in as well, to ensure that nothing unforseen happened to it. Dieter was visibly enraged as he entered the Elysium. A heated argument erupted regarding Locian's fate, and in a moment when no one was looking, Locian's body was whisked away by one of his allies.
