At the beginning of the evening, Prince Isabella removed Mister Spelling from the position of Sheriff. Apparently Spelling had killed Alphonso Corleone, an anarch Toreador, and childe of Ophelia Vale, former Seneschal. The Toreador were most upset, and the Prince was removing Spelling from the position until a full investigation could be held.
This evening was also marked by the visitation of a Nosferatu named Pappa Blue, who had a long and private conversation with Prince Isabella.
Now that Christmas had come and gone, the reality of winter was setting in. Everyone seemed to be miserable. Winter for a vampire can be most unpleasant, since they don't generate body heat. Great care must be taken to ensure that the body does not freeze solid.
The Box still stood. It was rumoured that up to 125 Sabbat armed with shotguns patrolled the city immediately outside the Box, with the lakeshore patrolled by boats crewed by Sabbat. However, it appeared that they no longer controlled the Box itself, but still knew the pattern and timing of the appearances of holes within its walls.
Something that kept coming up again and again in connection with the Box was the name "Rake". No one was really sure who this person was, but Rake seemed to be involved with, or was perhaps even the mastermind behind, the Box.
