Elysium was held July 16th in the year of our Lord 1996 at the new Elysium site provided by the Nosferatu, underground and adjacent to the Queen Street subway station.

At the beginning of the Elysium, Prince Shamus seemed very distraught, and stated to those gathered that he did not want any Gypsies or Rom visiting the city to be harmed. At least some of his bad humor may have been caused by Prince Sid, who was visiting from Waterloo, demanding that Trish O'Conner and Angelique Robespirre be returned to him after breaking the quarrentine of Waterloo.

The Tremere Primogen, Dieter Halsten, did not seem to be himself this evening, and as time passed seemed to grow more and more confused. It is said that he repeatedly insulted the Prince, although he denied doing any such thing. Eventually, several Tremere, including the Whip and Elder, asked him not to speak to the Prince for the rest of the evening.

Unfortunately, the Prince was none to pleased with the Tremere this night. In addition to being insulted by the Primogen, he caught a Tremere spying on him in the Prince's chambers.

About halfway through the Elysium, Prince Shamus temporarily appointed Lance Terrace to the position of Seneschal, replacing the departed Ophelia Vale. Mister Terrace was formerly the Gangrel Primogen, and it was rumoured that he was being considered to fill the position permanently. If this came about, then Toronto would be a very different place, since it's hard to imagine someone more dissimilar from Ophelia than Mister Terrace.

Someone who also had an interesting evening was Jeremiah Spader, the Keeper of Elysium. Spader noticed that some rats had entered the Elysium site (perhaps not surprising, considering where it was located). Investigating further just outside the Elysium, Spader was attacked by a creature that had been lurking in the sewers in the last few months. A shimmering amorphous blob, the creature quickly forced open Spader's jaws, and forced a part of itself down his throat into his stomach! While other kindred drove the creature off, the Sheriff quickly sliced open Spader's belly and attempted to remove its new tenant. The Sheriff eventually succeeded, but not before Spader had been shot in the stomach by the Brujah Travis.

It turns out that the creature, who apparently calls itself Rainbow, had the ability to turn parts of itself into rats, and this was the source of the Elysium's infestation. Eventually, the Elysium was overrun by rats, and had to be evacuated. When all had left, the Nosferatu destroyed the underground site by leaking gas from a gas main into the Elysium and igniting it. Apparently they hoped to destroy Rainbow, but it's said that the creature still lurks in the lowest levels of the sewers.
