Elysium was held July 2nd in the year of our Lord 1996 at a new Elysium site, one provided by the Nosferatu. Built underground, and adjacent to the Queen Street subway station, it appeared to be very well protected, and the Nosferatu claimed that it was secure, saying that there would be no 'uninvited guests' as there had been at other Elysiums in the past.
At the beginning of Elysium, Lady Jezebel of the Daughters of Cacophony announced that she was stepping down as Harpy. In her place, Valencia of the Tremere would now be arbitraiting boons and status. Jezebel said that she hoped that all in attendance would give Valencia the same cooperation and respect that they had given her.
In addition, the Prince announced that by the first Elysium of September, he would be the longest reigning Prince of Toronto in the memory of any of the local kindred. However, some felt that Shamus was jinxing himself merely by mentioning this fact.
Lavatch, the Tremere Chancellor who had attended the recent Conclave in Toronto, returned to the city on clan business. He introduced Noll, a Tremere Elder, to Calair, the Whip of the Tremere, and then immediately left. It turns out that Noll had been a Toronto resident several years ago, but had either been in torpor, or perhaps even dead, until recently but now was back to take his rightful place within the clan. The Tremere seemed to be preoccupied for the rest of the evening.
The Brujah were preoccupied as well. Trish O'Conner was stepping down from the position of Clan Elder, and the rest of the Brujah took part in ritual combat to determine who would replace her. Eventually, Sergeant T-Man, the Brujah Whip, was victorious, and claimed the Elder's priviliges and responsibilities. But some members of the other clans were asking themselves 'just what does a Brujah Elder do?'
