Elysium was held June 18th in the year of our Lord 1996 at the night club formerly owned by David Saint Joan, the missing member of Clan Tremere. The club is located on Queen Street East, and was once a bank. The interior is decorated with the distintive Saint Joan Paisley.
At the beginning of the Elysium, the Prince got on stage and made an announcement. He stated that there was much bad Karma about, and that he had a way to rid the city of it. He urged everyone to join him in this ritual. All of the kindred gathered had to raise their hands and act as if they were groping a giant woman, and while they were doing this repeat the following phrase: "Gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble". This being done, Shamus said that he was stepping down as Prince, and left the stage.
Everyone was stunned. Several people tried to stop the Prince before he left the Elysium, but Shamus transformed himself into a bat to escape. Fortunately, with a great amount of luck (and possibly some thaumaturgy), Ibrahim of the Tremere managed to stake the Prince before he escaped.
And then, another Shamus arrived at the Elysium, and demanded to be let in! It turns out that the Prince who performed the 'gobble gobble' ritual earlier in the evening was in fact the Prince's former body, supposedly being controlled by the 'box' Shamus had spoken of at the Conclave. The late arriving Shamus was in fact the true Shamus, or at least the body that contained the soul of Shamus, or whatever...
Trish O'Conner, Primogen of the Brujah, was summoned by her sire, Ace of San Fransisco, who was nearby. At the Conclave in May, Trish had described how her sire was insane, and wished to destroy all of his childer. As a result, many of the kindred tried to restrain her, but restraint was not enough, and it became necessary to stake her. The Sheriff, Loucan Layfay, searched the area surrounding the Elysium for signs of Ace, but his quarry fled. Later, a more extensive hunt was organized, and it was arranged that Trish would stay in the Nosferatu warrens until Ace was destroyed.
Meanwhile, the Tremere Primogen Dieter Halsten, Angela of the Giovanni, and Lumius Decarté of the Tremere took the Prince's former body to a remote location in the city in an attempt to remove the 'box' in located in the head of the Prince's former host. Fortunately, they were successful, and the box was kept by Dieter for further study.
