The Primogen Council

Elysium was held April 16th in the year of our Lord 1996, once again at the Sagewood Chateau, residence of Shamus Kleo Andrews, Primogen of Clan Malkavian.

At the beginning of the Elysium, Wilde, Primogen of the Toreador resigned from the Camarilla, declaring himself to be Anarch, and then, to even greater surpise, declared himself Caitiff as well.

Then, the harpy stripped Stephan Ford of one status trait for not protecting the former Seneschal, Tabitha Wheelwright, from hunters. She also removed one status trait from Thomas Spelling of Clan Ventrue for declaring himself Primogen when in fact Isabella Munroe held the position.

Prince Robert then granted the Razor Children domain within Toronto. He said that anyone who had havens within the Razor Children's domain should move them immediately.

And then Kamen, Whip of the Gangel, accused Robert of being in league with the Sabbat, and accused the Keeper of Elysium of being a Sabbat member. Kamen threw down a shovel, daring Robert to pick it up, or fight him in a duel to the death.

Almost everyone gathered outside the Elysium to watch the duel. Five large wolves guarded the area that the combat would take place in, to insure that no one interfered. At first, Robert became invisible using Unseen Presence, and after about 20 seconds caught Kamen unawares. However, Kamen recovered quickly, and vigorously fought back.

At this point, Isabella Munroe, the Primogen of Clan Ventrue, attempted to interfere with the duel by drawing a gun and attempting to shoot Kamen in the head, but one of the wolves guarding the duel jumped upon her, grasping her wrist in his jaws, and took her down. The duel continued.

At one point Robert threw Kamen more than twenty feet, but it quickly became apparent that Robert was losing, and a few seconds later, Kamen was victorious, and Robert's body silently became a mound of dust.

At this, more than half the kindred gathered began to frenzy, but the changling Etieme Mergouiené made the shape of a cross on the ground with some orange powder, and declared in a loud voice that the duel had been a fair one, within the laws of the Camarilla, and mysteriously, the frenzies ended.

Within the Elysium, Lance Terrace, the Primogen of the Gangrel, awarded Kamen two status points, those of Feared, and Honoured, and Jacob Branan of the Gangrel, who was Kamem's second for the duel, stated that the duel had been a fair one, that anyone who tried to take revenge upon Kamen would have to deal with him as well. Then the Primogen Council ajourned to decide who would replace Robert. Some in the Elysium speculated as to who the next Prince would be, while others were still in a state of shock from the night's events. There were some Brujah present who said that it was time for a democratic Camarilla, and that they were fed up with those in power making decisions for them.

Finally, the Primogen announced that the Prince of the Domain of Toronto was to be Shamus Kleo Andrews, the Primogen of the Malkavians. The new Prince then appointed Andrew Shade to be the Nosferatu Primogen, and Ivy to be Primogen of the Toreador. Prince Shamus then created an additional council to advise him, and named Phyche of the Razor Children, Morgana of the Daughters of Cacophony, and Angela of Clan Giovanni to be its members. He also named Lucian of the Samedi to the position of Sheriff of Toronto, and Thomas Spelling of the Ventrue to be Keeper of Elysium.

An Announcement from the Prince

Of course other things happened as well, but my undead fingers are starting to fall off. Thanks to everyone for a session that won't be forgotten.
