Chaterur, Asif: Died violently May 23rd, 1996. Born March 12, 1973, Asif will be greatly missed by his parents Dipa and Karim; sister Sian; special friend Amy, and many more. A memorial is being held Monday evening at the Royal York Hotel, were Asif was employed. Donations in lieu of flowers to establish a scholarship in his name to be arranged through Wilson & Partners Legal Firm.

Depp, Sian: Departed this reality on May 23rd, 1996, after only 23 years. The Boddhivista is badly missed by all her friends, especially Sue, Andrew, Travis, Dalton, Michelle, Pam, Tseukiko, Mishi, and Hanif. Formal memorial to be held Sunday afternoon 3 pm, followed by an Irish wake at Mount Pleasant. Salaam, Sian.

Duplis, Jeanne: Passed from this world on May 23rd, 1996, at the age of 42. Leaves to mourn husband Drake, sons Peter and William, parents Doreen and Frank, co-workers at Martex, and many friends. "Rage, rage against the dying of the light". Memorial to be held Sunday afternoon at Mount Hope; donations to the Cancer Society.

Handley, Robert: Taken in the night of May 23, 1996, after far too short a time. Pat, Dean, Shawn, Gordon, Danny, Kenneth, Billy and Steve ask all who knew Robert to join them for a candlelight vigil beginning at 9 pm on Sunday evening in front of City Hall and passing through the streets to his memorial at Mount Hope. Donations requested for Casey House in place of floral arrangements.

Meike, Nigel. Passed away May 23, 1996, at the age of 27. Nigel will be sadly missed by his wife Denise, parents Harlan and Georgette, sister Terry, nephews Donald and George, and co-workers at CITY-TV. Interment is at the Barthow & James Funeral Home, with services 4 pm Saturday. Donations in lieu of flowers to the SPCA, where Nigel was a volunteer.

Mitchell, Mary: Passed away on May 23rd, 1996, leaving to mourn children Tamara, Matthew and Jonas, husband Ken, parents Lawrence and Kristie Walkley, co-workers at Child's World Daycare, and many friends. Funeral to be held on Saturday, 11 am at St. Patrick's. Donations in lieu of flowers to the Sick Kid's Hospital.

Nowacki, Albert: Departed May 23rd, 1996, at the age of 37. A member of Masonic Lodge 2349 and APA, Al is remembered by his wife Nora, daughters Carol, Cathy and Cassy parents Eliza and Dwight, and many friends and co-workers. Funeral service is closed to family, though a memorial will be held Monday evening at St. Jude's. Donations to Covenant House.

Rossier, Catherine: died on route to St. Mike's, Catherine is greatly missed by parents Jan and Daniel, daughter Sharon, and her many friends. Service to be held Thursday evening at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Donations in lieu of flowers to a trust fund for Sharon.

Sharma, Harold: Passed away on May 23rd, 1996, at the age of 46. Left behind to remember are mother Agnes, wife Simone, children Kate and Duncan, grandchild Susan, brothers Michael and Ralph, friends and co-workers. Funeral services are planned for Sunday at Bartholomew Funeral Homes. The family requests donations to Greenpeace in lieu of flowers.

Zanatta, Irene: A victim of the city's violence on May 23rd, at the age of 62. Irene leaves to mourn her husband Donald, children Jennifer, Sheila and Phillip, grandchildren Mark, Greg, Molly, Dana and James Jr., and many friends. Services are closed to the family, although a memorial will be held at St. Andrews on Saturday afternoon. Donations to the Lawrence Park Public Library.

I will not forget, as others have. I know the truth. To the most honorable man I'll ever have the joy of knowing. Robert Kent, you have my heart and soul, my love, now and for eternity.
