Disciplines
Vampires are supernatural creatures, and one of the things that distinguish them from mere mortals is the vast number of powers, or disciplines, that they have at their disposal. The following is a list of disciplines that vampires of the Camarilla are known to possess, broken down into catagories and the specific effects that each can have. As well. there have been reports that hint at other disciplines wielded by vampires who are not members of the Camarilla.
Animalism
Some say that this discipline represents a primortial bond between the beast inside all vampires and the wild, natural order of things. Whatever the case, it allows its user access to the beast inside themselves, and in others as well.
Beast Within
This power invokes the beast inside its wielder, or can give one the ability to invoke it in another. It can cause the intended target to lose control, and give in to their dark side.
The Beckoning
A discipline that allows one to call to nearby animals, expect them to come to you. And while it may take a few minutes for them to arrive, one they have done so, it is possible to communicate with them.
Song of Serenity
This power allows those who possess it to tame the beast inside themselves. It can be used to bring another out of frenzy, or calm someone, making them weak and easily manipulated. However, it cannot be used on oneself.
Auspex
Upon the embrace, a vampire's view of the world changes, and in some the perceptions are expanded, allowing them to be aware of things that they were oblivious to during their mortal lives. And while these perceptions are useful in the hunt, in some they inspire a new aesthetic, and this in turn may distance them from humanity.
Heightened Senses
With this discipline, the normal senses are amplified. Sight, hearing, touch or smell may be individually enhanced, but only one at a time. And if the sense in use is suddenly overwhelmed, it can be lost entirely for a short period of time, making its user vulnerable.
Aura Perception
A halo of energy surrounds all living things, and those who possess this discipline have the ability to perceive this energy. They can determine many things about a entity based upon what they percieve in its halo, or aura, such as whether it is telling a lie, its emotional state, or even what kind of creature it truly is.
Spirit's Touch
All creatures leave residual energies on items they come into contact with, and the wielders of this discipline can detect these energies, depending on how much, and how recently, the item was handled.
Telepathy
This discipline, as the name implies, allows its user to receive and transmit thoughts. They can read the surface thoughts of another, and those less scrupulous and who have the power may even force their way into a subject's mind, and glean whatever information they desire.
Celerity
Those who possess this discipline can move at faster than normal speeds. It is said that those who practice and refine this discipline can move at speeds that make them appear as little more than a blur.
Dominate
As its name implies, this discipline allows its wielder to control the thoughs and actions of others. To use this power, the wielder must make eye contact with her intended target, unless she possesses Telepathy. This discipline can affect both the conscious and unconscious mind.
Command
This power allows its user to issue a single word command to their intended target and have it carried out. However, its effects are short lived, and cannot be self-destructive.
Forgetful Mind
This discipline allows the wielder to add, change, or remove memories from the mind of her victim. But there are limitations, as only the memories of a single event may be affected to a maximum of fifteen minutes.
Mesmerism
Using this power, one can program 'triggers' into the mind of a victim. These triggers can be activated when certain conditions are met, such as being in a particular place, after a given length of time, or when a certain event happens. Upon activation, the victim can remember a piece of information, or perform a specified action. However, such an action cannot be self-destructive or suicidal.
Conditioning
This discipline allows its user to extensively rework the mind of her target, but the end result is an automaton, almost devoid of imagination. However, the victim will now carry out orders that may result in its destruction. But because of this discipline's power and the extent of its effects, such an undertaking takes several night to complete.
Fortitude
A vampire is immortal, and thus immune to the aging process and most diseases, but she is still open to physical injury. However, this discipline allows its possessor to endure injuries that would destory the average vampire. Those practitioners with greater experience are said to be able to withstand an awe-inspiring amount of punishment.
Obfuscate
It is said that vampires are the ultimate predators, and this discipline allows its owner to make herself less noticeable to her prey, or slip away unnoticed if need be. However, video cameras and other recording equipment will still regester the vampire, as this discipline merely allows the vampire to influence the perceptions of her victim.
Unseen Presence
This allows its welder to make themselves invisible to others. However, any interaction with the immediate environment causes the illusion to be broken. So attacking a victim, or even bumping into a table or speaking, will cause the user of this discipline to become visible to all.
Mask of 1000 Faces
A vampire with this talent can appear to be anyone, either someone they know, someone they have seen a picture of, or even someone they imagine. However, the face of the person they are trying to masquerade as must be familiar to them, or the effect is unconvincing.
Cloak the Gathering
This discipline is very similar to Unseen Presence, but allows its user to make others invisible as well. An individual benefiting from this discipline must stay close to the wielder, and must not interact with the immediate environment. If she does so, she becomes visible, leaving the wielder and anyone else who was being cloaked invisible. However, if the wielder makes herself visible, accidentally or otherwise, the discipline's benefits are lost to all.
Potence
This discipline gives it's possessor almost herculean strength, and the ability to inflict incredible amounts of damage on their opponents. Amazing feats of strength have been reported.
Presence
This discipline gives its owner an extraordinary air of personality and charisma. They can draw people to them, or control them on an emotional level.
Dread Gaze
This power invokes feelings of fear and horror in the person it is used upon. By merely looking at them, a vampire can cause her victim to run from them, and they will avoid the wielder for roughly one hour afterwards.
Entrancement
This discipline ensnares those it is used upon, causing them to be civil and polite towards its possessor.
Summon
Using this power, a vampire can demand someone they know to immediately present themselves to her. Through concentration, the summons can be invoked across large distances, but unfortunately the summoner must maintain concentration while the target travels to them.
Protean
It is said that this discipline invokes the vampire's beastial side, allowing its owner to turn parts of her body into something not human. Any vampire can learn this talent, but usually it is only members of Clan Gangrel who possess it, and they are very reluctant to teach it to outsiders.
Wolf Claws
This power gives its wielder the ability to cause their fingernails to turn into long claws that are razor-sharp, and very dangerous weapons in battle. The damage that they can inflict is terrible indeed.
Earth Meld
This discipline allows a vampire to sink into the earth, and be protected within its cool embrace. It is an excellant means to escape the rising sun if one is caught out in the open. Once beneath the surface, it is almost impossible to dig out the wielder of this discipline.
Shadow of the Beast
This manifestation of Protean Discipline enables its possessor to transform into a wolf or a bat.
Thaumaturgy
Vampires by their very nature are supernatural creatures, and this discipline takes full advantage of this fact. Thaumaturgy mixes ancient magics with the power of vampiric blood, creating a powerful but flexible discipline. Wielded almost exclusively by Clan Tremere, it apparently requires blood for its use.
Bone of Lies
One of the more well known products of Thaumaturgy, this artifact, made from a human bone, visibly darkens when ever the person holding it tells a lie.

Other Disciplines
There have been reports of vampiric disciplines other than those listed above. However, some have questioned the reliability of those reporting such things. Despite this, it has been rumoured that members of the Sabbat have truly demonic disciplines, but there is very little information regarding them.
Necromancy
Said to be wielded by the Giovanni and the Samedi, this discipline concerns itself with death, both its nature and effects. Many feel that one would have to be truly twisted to be interested in such things.
