Japanese painting on paper attributed to Okumura Masanobu (1686-1764) “A falcon and an escaping goose”. Signature: Hogetsudo Okumura Bunkaku zu Size of the painting: 37.5 cm X 90 cm Size of the mounting: 46 cm X 194 cm Roller end: red lacquered wood and painted leaves with silver. Small holes and stains at the top of scroll. Biography of the artist and certification are written on the fitted storage box. Note: numerous repairs and retouch are done at the remounted time(about 100 years ago with brocade mount with the Kotobuki-cerebration Kanji-design). Price: U.S.$1,500. |
