Korean stoneware bottle.
10th-11th century (early Koryo dynasty)
Height: 28 cm
High-fired stoneware was made in Korea as early as the Old Silla period (6th-7th century). A liking for the unglazed dark ceramic surface continued into the Koryo dynasty, but with entirely new shapes.
Condition: a small tip at the mouth(see above photo), otherwise in good condition for its age.
Price: U.S.$1,800.
