A complete suit of armor.
Edo period.(17th-mid.19th century)
The suit laced with indigo blue cords or replaced with leather cords. Seven iron plates Suji bachi (Sujikabuto) lacquered helmet mounted with a three lame neck guard. The Iron plates were riveted each other and formed into a bols. Brass Maedate decoration for helmet. Lacquered iron Menpo face mask fitted with three lame throat guard. Black lacquered iron shoulder guard. Black lacquered iron Dou for torso guard with eight sections fitted with six lame tassets. Iron chain mail and splint sleeves. Thigh and knee guard Haidate with iron chain mail. Suneate foot guards with black lacquered iron.
Condition: Very fragile and some worn-out sections but can be mounted for display.
