Three very different Asian-Canadian women fall into the world of Yoko Ono: her music, art, Instruction Poems and words. These women will never be the same again.

A cheeky multimedia performance art comedy, THE YOKO ONO PROJECT unravels and investigates the demonization of one of the most intriguing and controversial artists in North American pop culture.

Chasing Yoko

Since 1994, Jean Yoon tried to secure permission from Yoko’s Studio One in New York. The Yoko Ono Project incorporates Yoko’s words, music, images and ideas – permission was absolutely necessary to proceed. In March of 1999, she said yes. Yoko said yes. Here’s the story of Chasing Yoko...

THE YOKO ONO PROJECT receives a Dora Nomination  

On Thursday May 18, 2000, THE YOKO ONO PROJECT was honoured with a Dora nomination for Outstanding New Play in the General Theatre Category for 1999/2000 season.
