Wild Nights

By Emily Dickinson

Emily Dickinson was born in 1830 and died in 1886. She left 60 volumes of poetry with her sister, but was almost unpublished during her lifetime. She lived a reclusive life in Massahcusetts, in the U.S. Her entire works weren't published until 1955.

Wild Nights-- Wild Nights!
Were I with thee
Wild Nights should be
Our luxury!

Futile-- the Winds--
To a Heart in port--
Sone with the Compass--
Done with the Chart!

Rowing in Eden--
Ah, the Sea!
Might I but moor-- Tonight--
in Thee!
