Nick and Kia are eager to sign up for the school's Three-0n-Three tournament. It's not going to be easy, however - they have to play against the older grades. So if Nick and Kia want to have any chance to win, the third player on their team will have to be Marcus, two grades above them and the best player in the school.

But do three great players always make a great team?

Nick, Kia and their basketball-playing pals are back. Now it's time for tryouts for the school rep team. The question is, will grade three students Nick and Kia have any chance to make the team? After all, the rep team is traditionally made up only of grade five players. And if they do make the team, will their determination and hard work be enough to overcome the resentment of some of the other players? Can Nick and Kia convince their teammates that only teamwork will take them to the championship game? Full Court Press is the second in a series of basketball adventures for young readers. The first, Three-On-Three, was an immediate bestseller.

Hoop Crazy is the third in the series and follows the adventures of Nick and Kia as they compete in a NBA sanctioned Three-on-Three tournament. They're good players - but are they good enough to win it all?

Longshot
It's time for Nick and Kia to try out for the rep team again. Nick loves playing ball-but hates trying out. Then again they know the coach and he knows them so everything will be fine. At least it would have been okay if it wasn't for the fact that there's a new coach, with a new attitude and a new way of running things. Will that mean they'll also be a new team with new players?
