Madder Rose's Billy Cote moonlights with this EP of low-slung trip-hop. The sleazy "Daddy Ride" comes in three mixes and grooves with a slow Crooklyn-ite beat of jazzy hip-hop drums and a grounding of bass synth. Billy sings about some street creep as Madder Rose's Mary Lorson provides a chorus and Godzilla is called upon to screech in the background. Things only get more low down on the "Dirty" and "Dub" mixes. "The Resonant Priest" on the flip is like a demo for Little Axe, as a twangy guitar saunters over another slow hip-hop drum beat. I couldn't pay attention to the "A.D.D." mix but the "Long Mix" was exquisitely lo-fi and atmospheric.
