This vinyl-only single features three remixes of tracks from DJ Cheb's excellent Indian-dub-hop cd, Shri Durga. Featuring the distinctive basslines of Bill Laswell and a large group of traditional Indian musicians and vocalists, Cheb's serious originals, like "Ganga Dev" (included here) expertly fuse urban beats, sacred sounds and field recordings.

Another of the cd's tracks, "Kese Kese," is remixed by Indian star Bally Sagoo and Transglobal Underground (who appreciate a rich palette to sample from). TGU add a new bassline and a live drummer playing with a variation of the hip hop beat, to the male vocal and drum accents of the original, while Sagoo adds hand claps and strings to his "Bollywood"-style mix.

And Indian fusionist State Of Bengal (one of Talvin Singh's Anokha buddies, who has his own album on One Little Indian) remakes the dreamy title piece in a cool jungle-dub style, which is unfortunately ruined by tired rhythm guitar parts.
