This global fusion release by Victor Ruiz, a Brazilian producer/keyboardist based in Italy, ranks with Banco De Gaia and Transglobal Underground. His group's blend of hip-hop, dub-funk and techno rhythms leans more toward India than the others, as his vocalist, Ratnabali Adhikari's beautiful vocal chants weave their lines over sounds of sitar and tabla beats. Some of the tracks have Deep Forest-style melodic hooks but her Sanskrit mantras soar beyond pop.
