Phyllis Gotlieb's first novel, Sunburst has just been reprinted by Bakka Books.
English Canada's first juried award for Science Fiction has just been announced. The Sunburst Award is a juried award with a prize of $1000, named for the first novel of Phyllis Gotlieb .
The award recognizes Canadian Literature of the Fantastic (see the web site for a full definition),
but basically that includes science fiction, fantasy and horror, both YA and adult.
The jurors this year include John Clute, Candas Jane Dorsey, Phyllis Gotlieb, Monica Hughes and Leon Rooke.
