Stripe-breasted Spinetail

This is one of the three spinetails found in Trinidad and this one is somewhat more common in Tobago. Their name derives from the graduated tail feathers with protruding shafts which are quite diagnostic in the field. This head portrait is an example of the exquisite detail that the photographer has been able to achieve.
