"Every so often I create a painting, or sculpture that strikes me as being particularly dramatic, or classic in nature. There is a feeling that there has to be a story behind the work -- perhaps a fairy tale or mythical legend. Subconsciously there probably is. This wild dancing, primitive man seems to exude such qualities. As a writer I shall perhaps one day be compelled to write an appropriate story to accompany the piece -- but until then, the mystical value of this exuberant figure will be left solely to the imagination of the viewer."
