ASSOCIATED STUDENTS HONOR FORMER CLASSMATE WITH MEMORIAL SILKSCREEN
LISA SHORE REMEMBERED AS GOOD STUDENT AND FRIEND
Associated Hebrew Schools students at the Danilack campus have unveiled a memorial silkscreen in honour of former student Lisa Shore. The unveiling coincides with the first anniversary of Lisa's death. The silkscreen was commissioned by Associated's Junior High student body, and was developed by independent silkscreen artist Shelley Praver. The artwork includes images of ponies, rainbows, stars, hearts and the city of Jerusalem, which classmates say were all very much loved by Lisa. Danilack campus staff members recall her academic achievements and popularity among her peers. "She was an all around good girl, a very good girl", staff members say.
Lisa died on October 22, 1998 at the age of ten. She is survived by her parents Bill and Sharon Shore, and her two brothers Devin and Aaron, both Associated students.
