NOELLE RICHARDSON

Born in Guyana, Noelle Richardson moved to Canada in her teens, and later earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of Windsor.

She began her broadcasting career in 1983 with Toronto’s
CFMT-TV, and moved to the CBC four years later. She remained with the network for nearly a decade, eventually earning a high-profile slot as news anchor for the series Midday. She has also anchored for CTV News 1 (now CTV Newsnet).
For the past seven years, Richardson has worked internationally as a diversity consultant for major corporate clients.

She also serves on the board of directors for Literature for Life, an organization that promotes reading and poetry writing for teenage mothers.
Says Sadia Zaman, VisionTV’s Executive Producer, In-House Production: “Noelle is a gifted broadcaster, and is passionate about promoting respect and appreciation for cultural and spiritual diversity… she has a combination of intelligence, enthusiasm and warmth that engages viewers in the stories we tell.”
