"Evelyn's  Stories" is Pamela Williams' first collection of memoir writing.  The work is based on stories her mother told her.  The book is pure Canadiana anedotes. Many of the stories take place in Grey County in the previous century.

The events take place over the time between 1906 and 2018, while the characters  range in age from one to ninety-five.

"These are edgy stories, many with dark undercurrents - a kind of humour that's rare, about as far as you can get from the local colour of somebody like Leacock. Nevertheless, Williams knows, as the reader of Evelyn's Stories finds out, that in the card game of life, laughter trumps tears."    John Reibetanz  (poet)

"Wonderfully succinctly deadpan." Ruth Roach Pierson (poet)
