"... to explore the terrain of poetry being written in Toronto." is the aim announced in the foreword, signed by four of its contributors. Text is fine, paper covers are scuffed all over. With lead appendices of an introduction, one on Urdu poetics and then another on abbreviations and an ending appendix on Urdu vocabulary. The main editor M. Barker is from Lahore, Pakistan and all eighteen poets represented here are from the Indian sub-continent. Bassani, Giorgio Rolls Royce and Other Poems First paperbound edition of the "first authorized translations" of the Italian author best-known for his Garden of the Fitzi-Continis from Aya Press (Toronto) of 1982. This one comes 'fully loaded' with an introduction by Northrup Frye and translations by Francesca Valente "in cooperation with Greg Gatenby and Irving Layton under the supervision of Giorgio Basani and Portia Prebys".
