Bevington, William, in coordination with Jan Rous and Jiri Setlik Book Design in Prague, 1960-1990 Catalogue to accompany an exhibition at the Herb Lubalin Study Center of Design and Typography, The Cooper Union, New York City in 1992. Vellum sleeves fully wrap the paper covers and are printed 'poezi-poezie' in brown block letters on their four inside panels. 20pp., 6.5 x 12 in mint condition. $20.

de Duve, Thierry Pictorial Nominalism Translated by Dana Polan, with a foreword by John Rajchman for the Theory and History of Literature Series (#51) of the University of Minnesota Press. Subtitled, "On Marcel Duchamp's Passage from Painting to the Readymade", it moves a post-structuralist critique of abstraction into the wider forum of critical theory. This is the laminated, paper-bound edition of 1991. With bends and dents to the back corners and 11 half-tone illustrations from Duchamp's work. 6 x 9, 224 pp. Good condition. $20.

Depero, Fortunato Futurism and Advertising Translation of 'Il futurismo e l'arte pubblicitaria' introduced by the translator, Pasquale Verdicchio. Added to it are 6 pages of graphic ads Depero designed for the Campari company in Itlay during the 20's as well as an English treatise the artist published in New York in 1930, 'A B C of Italian Futurism'. Published in pamphlet format with card-stock covers by the Parentheses Writing Series of La Jolla CA in 1990. Stained covers, pen-marked, overall good condition. $15.

Every caption and header is printed inmargin bleed-off, but it's a Random House publication so it must have been on purpose. 8.5 x 11, 366 pp. in As New condition $40.

Johnston, Jude, and Joyce Mason, editors Issues of Censorship 16 contributors, 14 issues addressed. Published by A Space in 1985. The heavy on the back cover, who's presumably from Ontario's Consumer Relations looks a lot like Mr. Smith from the 'Matrix' movies. Guess he improved his position. 8.5 x 11, 78 pp. As new, except the paint's peeling from the front spine. So fine. $20.

Julian, Philippe Dreamers of Decadence First Pall Mall Press Edition of 1971reprinted for Praeger of London & New York in the same year. Subtitled, "Symbolist painters of the 1890's" it has a weirdly, 'Black sabbath' feel to it, what with its pink sunrise back dustjacket (slightly torn) and Gustave Moreau's drawings playing through the title pages. Text in As New shape though, so Fine condition overall. 7 x 10, 272 pp. containing 149 illustrations, 49 in full colour ending with extensive indices of both its illustrations and of the painters, poets and musicians associated with the movement. $45.

Karmel, Pepe Jackson Pollock Subtitled, "Interviews, Articles, and Reviews", it has some art grant application forms too. Cover has some fine repro detail of Number 31 (1950) . Grease stain and foxing to top face, still outrageously fine condition for its subject: 6.5 x 10, 284 pp. $30.

Koehnline, James Magpie Reveries Icongraphic mandalas. Kick-ass collage. Front and back paper covers are in full reds and aquas colour. Everything inside is b x w -all 46 more collages -which is maybe a way of containing this energy so it still resembles a book. Foreword by Hakim Bey. Zono Autonomedia. And the back cover got wrinkled up too. So good condition only, $25.

Littlefield, Angelika The Dada Period in Cologne Catalogue to an exhibition held at the Art Gallery of Ontario in 1988. Startling use of black and red in the matte card-stock covers and matching vellum end-papers. All illustrations in half-tone however. 8.5 x 12, 36 pp. with some staining to the upper back cover and some stress at the front spine. Good $15.

McLuhan, Marshall and Harley Parker Through the Vanishing Point: Space in Poetry and Painting How the poet and the painter re-focus our senses. Usually a painting or a poem on the verso with McLuhan's purposely tangential comments ooposite. First edition hardcover of 1968, the only blemish being a tear to the back of the dustjacket. Morris, Lynda and Robert Radford The Story of the Artists International Association 1933 - 1953 Chronicles the years of this activist artists group through a reading of its newsletters, bulletins, exhibitions and annual meetings. "AiA" printed green on the original light yellow card stock covers. 8. x 12, 96 pp in As New condition, $25.

Murray, Joan Richard Gorman: Naked Eye An essay on the Ottawa born artist Richard Gorman, with 7 full-colour reproductions of his art accompanying it. made into a catalogue for the 1990 show at the Robert McLaughlin Gallery. This is copy # 260 of an edition of 500. Fine condition, 7 x 9.5, 32 pp. perfect bound catalogue. $20.

Panofsky, Erwin Renaissance and Renascences in Western Art Studies the Italian Renaissance as it developed in the art and literature of the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries. After a text of some 210 pp. there follows 32 pages of bibliography and indices and then 157 black and whites plates. First Paladin paperback edition of 1970. 5.5 x 8 in Fine condition $20.
