Chris Twomey has been a DJ since his college radio days, opening memorable gigs at clubs such as RPM and the Diamond Club. As a programmer at the University of Toronto's station he produced the New Powers show which treated it's loyal listeners to imported music and special events like an on-air performance by Bandulu and a live broadcast by Future Sound Of London. In 1997 Chris created minimal, jungle and experimental sets for gigs by Panasonic, Spring Heel Jack and Spiritualized's record-setting show at the CN Tower!

Twomey has also been a music writer for 20 years and was published in the anthology book Sound By Artists. Chris has appeared on the music television shows New Music, Streetlife and Volt. Currently he writes and reviews for Exclaim newspaper, as well hosting the Exclaim Electronics web broadcast. He also publishs an email 'zine, which can be subscribed to at the New Powers Music website.
